Fear From Within

Fear From Within

One of life’s greatest fears, is the fear of the unknown
Fear of what only we do not know,
For we are the only ones who know of something that is not known

We fear the words we place in the mouths of others
Fear of the thoughts which do not reside anywhere else
For they were born somewhere within
But dispersed somewhere out
This fear causes pain, self-inflicted pain
Hurt comes upon you
From the souls who just pass by
We not only hurt ourselves through this monster,
But the others drug into this game
Drug into this false world, into this own little labyrinth

Don’t let this lie cloud your thought,
Don’t let it change your view of those around you
For they have not sinned against you,
No, you have sinned against yourself through them
They are just a pawn in this twisted chess match
Set up by the Devil in our own minds

The captives were set free
And yes, the captive could be yourself
Even this was taken to the cross
Where it took three good beatings and then was buried,
Buried somewhere deep, somewhere never to be seen again

Be free, because you are!
